Elkhorn Lodge - Chama

I enjoyed a peaceful stay in a cozy cabin with lovely river views. the calming vibes helped soothe my nerves after an accident. However, the bathroom cleanliness was an issue.

I had brand-new and cheap room complete with 2 full size beds and comfy mattress, as for instance. Coffee/tea making machines and a fridge were nice. The location was comfortable for exploring this excellent area, adjacent to Chama and the Elkhorn Lodge, the river in a beautiful town, and a walking path alongside. Very amiable and caring staff and everything was perfectly fine.

Comfortable beds and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a fridge, and coffee and tea making equipment. Lovely, gorgeous location to the Elkhorn restaurant.

The dirt bike noise ruined our sleep.

The scenic river access and cozy cabin made our stay worthwhile, especially after spending nights by the BBQ grill.

The Elkhorn Lodge is a cozy treasure with its charming cabins and picnic area just waiting for some BBQ fun! Bonus points for the delicious breakfast at the restaurant next door-a must-try for any culinary explorer!

Watch out for the noisy gas heater that clanged like a wild coyote at night and the sink drains are like black holes-better not drop anything too precious in there!

The access to the scenic Rio Chama was a game-changer, perfect for nature walks and spontaneous fishing spots! Plus, the BBQ facilities made our evenings so much fun, grilling up dinner by the firepit under the stars.

Communication was poor when trying to add an extra night.

Make sure to ask for new pans if you need them, as the staff is very responsive and eager to assist.

The provided fan maintained a pleasant airflow, and I appreciated the BBQ facilities outside for enjoying meals while taking in the views. It served as an ideal retreat for my work-related trip.

Communication issues regarding additional nights

The river trail was picturesque. I felt welcomed in the clean, charming surroundings with beautiful log exteriors and thoughtful decoration that suited older guests. Accessibility was also commendable for our needs.

Quieter rooms would enhance the peaceful atmosphere.

Nice place with free Wi-Fi, a picnic area, and fishing nearby. The staff once helped me with dining directions, which I still appreciate. I recommend it for a relaxing getaway. I'm coming back soon!

The log cabins are such a delight! Spacious, clean, and with a large TV and basic kitchen essentials, we enjoyed relaxing here. Plus, the beautiful river nearby added to our lovely stay.

But don't expect WiFi. It's basically on vacation too! And the only thing colder than the cabin was the shower-hope you like surprises!

Charming location but needs cleaning!

I mean the cabin. Had a kitchen, right? And the weather was great after a storm, ya know? But when we walked in, man, the cleanliness just wasn't there.

Costly for what we expected, but still tolerable.

Located in a beautiful area within walking distance to two cool towns. the rooms have really comfy beds, each with two full-size mattresses, and come with all the necessities. 😊
